SILVIA HERMAN graduated from Shippensburg State Teacher’s College with a BS in Education in 1948, and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Temple University in 1965. She taught for 32 years—27 of which were in first grade—at Newberrytown Elementary School in West Shore School District of central Pennsylvania. Silvia resides in Newberrytown with her daughter and son-in-law. She is an avid bridge player, reader, and has enjoyed traveling in the past.
