As cold winter drags on, it’s easy to find ourselves hermiting in…
This past week I meant to attend one of my friend’s art openings. I meant to spend more time walking the Heritage Rail Trail. And I sincerely meant to go to a scrapbooking party. But in an environment of icy wind and snow (and too much comfort food), it felt easier to stay inside my little shell.
This can be very nice for writing and editing, where it’s been a week of Total World Domination. Yet the energy and renewal that come from connecting with like-minded fun folk and sharing our time and talents should not be overlooked.
So if you’ve been craving a time and place to meet other writers and just “hang out,” I’ve decided to host a free Celebrate Spring party at my house in Glen Rock, PA. Save the date on your calendar now – Saturday, April 14th from 12-4pm. There’ll be music, drinks, and light refreshments (let me know if you want to bring a dish), and an optional “Open Mic” area where you can share <5 minute readings.
It’s time to release yourself from the Time Out writing corner, visit with old friends, and meet some new ones!
Write with joy!
