Sapphires of Wisdom

The best things I’ve learned in this business of life have been taught to me a number of times… first by my mother and grandparents, then repeated by various teachers, and then finally… finally… in the moment when I find myself regurgitating the mantra to my child or my clients or my mastermind girl-bosses, the lesson becomes clear and I find that I OWN it.

Today I invite you to be the teacher, on the way to becoming a stronger student.

What gems of writing (and life) wisdom have finally sunk in for you?

“Imagine that you are dying. If you had a terminal disease would you finish {writing} this book? Why not? The thing that annoys this 10-weeks-to-live self is the thing that is wrong with the book. So change it. Stop arguing with yourself. Change it. See? Easy. And no one had to die.”
